1/11/2024 0 Comments Dark deception game chapter 2The halls were much less cramped, but the many double doors served as an obstacle. "Hey, friend, where'd ya go?" She would taunt occasionally as she hunted.Īs much as he hated this, Doug had to admit that it was better than the hotel. Good God, was this kid fast! Even with speed boost, she was still right behind him. "Ready or not, here I come!" Her voice echoed through the halls.ĭoug gathered more shards, using speed boost to outrun the kid whenever she spotted him. Without a second to lose, he started gathering. Doug pulled up the tablet, it read that there were 283 shards to collect, not too bad. "Looks like school is back in session." Bierce finally said. A loud school bell rang, and the left doors opened. Great, so not only was this kid a psycho, but she could teleport, too. Suddenly, in a flash of purple light and smoke, she was gone. "That's what best friends are for, right?" "You can share EVERYTHING with me! All your secrets, all your mistakes, ." Her voice began to grow low and gravely as she said those last words. Just from her voice, Doug could tell that this child was full of energy, and was likely fast, so he'll have to keep speed boost charged up. "Don't tell the others, but things were getting pretty boring lately." She whispered, "But you'll spice things up, won't ya?" He brushed it off, and focused on the task at hand. This kid, this little girl, reminded him of too much. "It's really nice to have someone new to play with."ĭoug felt hollow. "I heard we might be getting a new student here soon, so I put together this little welcoming party for ya!" She waved her arms and hands around as she spoke, showing off her long claws. "Oh, a new friend! I'm so excited! Welcome!" She suddenly spoke, her voice young and high-pitched. Her arms were long and got more charred as they went down to her large, clawed hands. She had pitch black eyes and the corners of her mouth seeming to be singed, leaving permanent black streaks across her mouth. But the most horrifying thing by far, was her face and hands. She wore a purple dress with a dark blue collar and bow in the back with black stockings. Short, black, tangled hair waved along her head. She was about the height of a child around age 8 or 9. Her entrance was startling enough, but the look of her was much more off-putting. When Doug walked to the front of the stage, a single spotlight turned on, a short jingle of music played, and a little girl suddenly appeared in the light. The stage had red curtains drawn back, and a banner that read "WELCOME STUDENTS!" hung from the ceiling. Little chairs were lined up in rows, all facing the stage. What the hell?! How did that get there?! Despite all his questions, Doug ignored it and walked down the hallway, opening the large double doors to a small auditorium. "Another barrier." Bierce said, interrupting his train of thought, "You know what to do." Yes he did.Īctivating speed boost, Doug charged through the barrier and was stopped by a school bus that looked as if it had crashed through the wall. Not really, Doug didn't miss a thing from his childhood. "Don't you ever miss your school days?" Bierce asked, "After all, it was the last time you were innocent." However, another barrier blocked the way. The doorway had giant decorative pencils on it's rim, and a welcome banner along the top. It had empty trophy display cases along the walls. This time, the area was more akin to an entrance hall in a school. Same as the last, a flash of red, and he was in a new area with the portal closed. He took one step, and burst into speed, shattering the barrier and rushing through the portal. His body glowed red, it shook with eagerness, and it pained him to sit still. Suddenly, he was hit with an overwhelming sense of energy. He pulled up the tablet, swiped to the boost icon, and pressed it. In the hallway, the glowing red barrier stood, blocking the way.
